UPAC Priorities
ADVOCACY
- To advocate for the ISSUES emanating within the African community in the United States and in Africa (social, economic and political development);
- To increase the participation/integration of Africans throughout the U.S.;
- To cooperate and liaise with local, state, regional, national, and international governments and organizations;
- To collaborate with polities in the U.S. and Africa to reach the Sustainable Development mandates;
- To monitor and evaluate relevant ongoing programs;
- To restore peace and security among African Nations;
- To forge trade and economic growth in U.S. and Africa; and
- To disseminate to the public, media, and governments, information about UNITED PEOPLE FOR AFRICAN CONGRESS’ services
- To serve God and man.
EDUCATION & TRAINING
- To provide educational tools and resources that foster capacity building for African people, businesses, and organizations in the U.S. and Africa; and
- To give educational opportunities to every child in Africa
HEALTH & WELLBEING
- To respect and protect each human being and his/her health and human rights;
- To provide social services, such as health, nutrition, and housing to our aging populations in the U.S. and in Africa;
- To address food and environmental safety in our home and communities;
- To give sustainability, efficiency, effectiveness, and support to its members and member organizations through effective leadership training, especially youth; and
- To improve the living conditions of all Africans in the U.S. and in Africa
CULTURAL PRESERVATION
- To preserve our African identity in the U.S.;
- To promote cultural awareness; and
- To encourage unity among varying African ethnic groups
